October 15th – Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day

To some people, October 15th may just signal the middle of the month, but to other people, this date holds a special place in their hearts.

October 15th is the official Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, and is a day to remember loved ones who were sadly, taken early from us.

The day was created to provide support, education and awareness for those who are suffering or may know someone who has suffered a miscarriage, an ectopic pregnancy, a still birth, or the loss of an infant.

The loss of a child at such a young age can be a very difficult time for everyone related to the child, from aunties to uncles, brothers to sisters, mum and dad.

But Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day is a specially designated day to provide support around these challenging times.

And with this day comes a heart-warming idea.

The ‘Wave of Light for October 15th’ event will see people from all over the world light a candle at 7pm for one hour, in remembrance of loved ones who have passed away whilst sadly still in their infancy.

Please join in with this wonderful message and show your support to the families and friends who have been affected by these issues.
