Fashion for a Fiver

The Charity Angels are organising a spectacular fashion show with a difference on the evening of Thursday 14^th June at the Galpharm Stadium in aid of the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

The reason why this fashion show is different is because it is all about the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice’s 10 charity shops. Once you’ve been to this event you will never see charity clothing in the same light.  All the clothes worn on the evening will have been donated to one of the charity shops. Local designer Hardy Punglia, who has a restyled range of clothes at the Hebden Bridge shop, is currently restyling donated clothes for at least one of the magnificent scenes. Everyone who buys a ticket to the show will be encouraged to bring at least one item of clothing on the night to donate to the Hospice. All clothes will be on sale on the night & one lucky person who donated clothing will win a return first class trip for a family of 4 to London on Grand Central Railway with a meal & overnight stay at Prego in Brighouse.

Mick Prescott, Head of Retail at the Hospice said “the fashion show is a fantastic opportunity for us to raise awareness of our shops & products, increase the amount of stock we have to sell & ultimately raise money to support the care of children & their families”

The courageous models are all shapes & sizes & range from aged 2 to 72. For some of our models it is the once in a lifetime dream of being on the catwalk & for others, including some well known faces, it is something they have never done before but have agreed to do it to support such a worthy cause!

The Charity Angels who are organising the event are a group of people & organisations who want to offer support & give advice to charities free of charge. They have chosen the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice as their first beneficiary as it is such a monumental year for the hospice – with the completion of the building & the opening of the Hospice this Summer.
