A Marvellous Marathon!

The 2nd Annual Huddersfield Hilly Half Marathon was held this weekend, with over 100 runners, plus relay teams and fun runners making the event a terrific success.

With the race starting at 9:30am, and spanning over 13+ miles of Huddersfield's hilly terrain, this half marathon was always going to be a challenging effort.

Luckily, the weather was on our side, and with the sun shining bright, our runners set off into the high hills of Huddersfield.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who was involved with the event, including the runners, relay teams, fun runners, volunteers, sponsors (Prohms and Sandal BMW), Hannah Cockroft and everyone else who helped make the event the success it was.

Below are the two winners of the men's and women's Half Marathons, congratulations to both Matthew Hallam and Penny Ditchfield, as well as a big well done to all of the other runners:

Men's Winner: Matthew Hallam, Garforth - 1hr 21mins 30secs

Women's Winner: Penny Ditchfield, Marsden - 1hr 31mins 10secs
