Complementary therapies

A range of relaxing therapies to make everyone feel better.

We have a really tranquil therapy room at Russell House. It’s not all pan-pipes and candles: it’s a place where you can get away from it all and just lose yourself in a bit of personal care provided by our therapist. Alternatively, we’d be very happy to bring our therapies to your home. It’s all available during the day, in the evening or even at weekends and, like everything else we do, it’s free.

Don’t forget to look after yourself

Again and again, because their child comes first, we see parents putting themselves last. We observe their stress levels, anxieties, busy-ness and lack of personal time – and we see how they can become exhausted, run-down and eventually just plain miserable. And that won’t help them, their child, or their family (or their career, if they work).

So why not take a bit of time out for yourself, to relax, de-stress and re-energise? If you’re not used to taking such care of yourself, or aren’t used to having ‘treatments’, or if you’re a dad and you think only mums can indulge, now’s the time to give it a go!

The benefits of our therapies

You’ll soon discover the many benefits which complementary therapies can bring. They can help you get to sleep more easily (and stay asleep until morning), improve your general health, and enhance your sense of mental and emotional wellbeing. Why not let our therapist work with you to develop a programme designed around your own personal needs?

Therapies for babies, children and teenagers

Our therapies are offered to the children we care for as well as their brothers and sisters, of any age. The older the child, the more therapies will be available; with babies, for example, we’d just start with a gentle massage. We’ll always ensure that treatments, and any oils we use, are suitable for your child’s age and condition.
