Where will I be based?
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident driver, who’ll start off from Grace’s Place (Bury) and collect our children and their families all over Bury, Oldham and Rochdale.
Who will show me what to do?
A Care Team Member will show you the ropes, ensuring we get the most out of your valuable time.
What will I be doing?
Using the hospice vehicles, you will transport our children and families to and from the hospice, so they can reap the full benefits of our Care Team, Support Groups and facilities. The hospice vehicles are wheel chair friendly (full training will be provided).
How many hours will I volunteer?
We’re looking to cover various shifts, however as much time as you can donate would be great!
Do I need any skills/experience?
For this role you will need;
- A full clean UK driving licence
- Under the age of 70 for insurance purposes
- Reliable and organised
- Be willing to undergo a DBS check (criminal records check)
- Provide information for a driving licence check
All our volunteers are encouraged to attend training and volunteer meetings whenever possible.
As a volunteer you will be a representative of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice. As such we expect you to be well presented, polite and to give a positive message about the work of the charity.
