FMN shortlisted for “Nurse of the Year” in the Nursing Times Awards 2017

Forget Me Not is thrilled to announce that our very own Emma Bleasdale has been shortlisted for the prestigious Nursing Times Award for “Nurse of the Year”. 

Emma, who has been with Forget Me Not since 2013, started her nurse training aged 25 and worked as a nurse in the NHS for 10 years before joining the hospice care team.

She comments; “I’m absolutely stunned by the nomination, it really is amazing but also a total surprise! I really feel privileged to do what I do – caring and supporting families. Even though it’s me that is nominated, it’s a team effort from everyone at Forget Me Not; I work with some great colleagues who have encouraged and supported me throughout my journey here. It’s also important to mention the supporters, as nothing would happen without them!”

Emma will now go to panel for interview, before finding out if she has won at the awards ceremony later this year. Watch this space!
