Dog activities, family entertainment & group walk!
Held at Heaton Park, Manchester, on Sunday 22nd April 2018, guests will be able to get involved in lots of dog-themed activities (including a dog fancy dress competition!) and family entertainment – concluded by a group 3km walk around the park.
As well as a number of stalls selling perfect pooch gifts and items, there will be human refreshments, face painting and games too.
There will be a dog show and dog activities to test the dogs’ agility, speed and skill.
Bark in the Park opens at 11.30am, with the dog fancy dress competition and dog show starting at 12 noon. The mass dog walk will start at 1.30pm.
Entry is £5 per dog, which includes a doggy bag. Humans are free.
Please register and pay via the Eventbrite page. Guests can also pay on the day.
The dog show, fancy dress competition and dog agility/flyball is £2 per dog per entry. These can all be paid for on the day.
All money raised will go towards Forget Me Not’s new children’s hospice, Grace’s Place, which is opening in Radcliffe, Bury later this year. The charity has already started providing a Hospice at Home service. Once the children’s hospice has opened on Dumers Lane, they will be able to offer in-house and overnight care for the 650 children and their families with life-shortening conditions who live in Bury, Rochdale and Oldham.
The dog show categories will include:

Best in show

Once you are in Heaton Park, if you head towards the Stables coffee shop there will be Forget Me Not staff and volunteers nearby to direct you to the event location, which will take place in a cornered off area directly below the Stables car park and below Heaton Hall.
