Can you take on our 10k challenge to celebrate our 10 year anniversary?
2021 is the 10th anniversary of our children’s hospice, Russell House, being built. To celebrate 10 years of being a home-from-home for children and families and to get the year off to a great start, we’re setting you a challenge. Or, more precisely, we’re asking you to set your own 10k challenge!
Date: Choose a date to suit you from now until the end of March
Where: Choose a venue to suit you. In your garden, the local park or up and down the stairs perhaps.
Set your own 10k challenge
What's your personal Everest? A 10km run every day for 10 days? Or a 10km walk over the course of a week. Or 10,000 steps a day? In our 10k challenge, it's you who sets the goal you want to achieve. Walk, run or jog your 10k challenge wherever suits you – at home, in the garden, round your local park. And you can do it whenever suits you too, just make sure you’ve done it by the end of March.
Do the challenge on your own or with your bubble – as it’s you that sets the challenge you can make sure it’s suitable for everyone in your household, whatever their age or fitness level.
Track your progress using a fitness app or your phone's health app and once you've completed your challenge, send us the proof and you'll receive a special 10th anniversary medal to reward your magnificent achievement!
Once you’ve decided on your personal challenge, create a Justgiving page so that friends and family can sponsor you to help raise vital funds for Forget Me Not. Everyone who raises £50 or more will receive a Forget Me Not t-shirt.
Registration fee: £5 to receive a medal once completed challenge. (Medals will be sent out after 1st April)
Sponsorship pledge: Raise as much as you can. Anyone who raises over £50 will receive a free Forget Me Not t-shirt.
