ramadan-mubarak

Ramadan

Could you make a pledge to Forget Me Not this Ramadan and help us support seriously ill children and their families to make the most of every precious moment they have together?

Forget Me Not is here for families who are facing or living with the loss of their child across West Yorkshire. Around half the families we support are from the South Asian community. By providing superb nursing care, hydrotherapy, creative therapy, days out, memory making, end of life care, bereavement support and counselling, Forget Me Not helps families make the most of every moment they have together.

Families like Jibreel’s.

Jibreel was born to Ajmal and Jasmine in November 2021 but, very sadly, lived for only an hour. Forget Me Not was on hand to help the family make the very best of every minute they had together. Afterwards, Forget Me Not supported Jasmine and Ajmal to bring Jibreel home and co-ordinated the transfer of his body to be washed.

“Thanks to Forget Me Not, we got to enjoy the little time we had with our son. They made things so much easier, less stressful and more comforting.”
To be able to support more families like Jibreel’s, we’re appealing for your help this Ramadan. As a charity, only a tiny fraction of our funding comes from the government and NHS, so we rely on individuals, groups, organisations and communities to help us raise the funds we need.

“Forget Me Not is very close to my heart, having experienced the pain of losing two children. This Ramadan, I urge you to support this charity so that families get the help they need, when they need it the most.” Cllr Masood Ahmed, Mayor of Kirklees

No family should have to face the loss of their child alone. With your help, we can continue to be here proving vital care and support for local children and families. Whatever you give, every penny will make a real difference.
