Very sadly, each year around 70 families in West Yorkshire will experience the tragic sudden and unexpected loss of their child. We’re here for these families.

Losing a child suddenly and unexpectedly is absolutely devastating. Getting support as soon as possible is crucial – to help you get through those early days and weeks and to help you get back on your feet in the future. 

Our support for families affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child is unique and award-winning. We’re here for you in whatever way you need, whether that’s spending time with your child in our Snowflake Suite, or getting practical help and bereavement support.

Immediate help and support

On hand with practical and emotional support, we’re here to help you get through the first days, weeks and months – whatever you need, whenever you need it. 

A place to say goodbye

If it’s possible and you want to, you can spend time with your child in our Snowflake Suite, bringing family together and making memories.  

Navigating the process

You might have to deal with the police, coroner’s office or attend an inquest. We can support you throughout, liaising with other professionals and coming to meetings with you. 

Ongoing bereavement support

We offer counselling, therapy and support groups to help you come to terms with your loss.

Helping the whole family

Siblings can be particularly affected so woffer tailored support for children in your family and can help you find ways to comfort and support them.

Forget Me Not has been an absolute godsend since I lost my son. The warm support and generosity that me and my family have received has been truly outstanding. They have made the most horrific time in my life more bearable and for that I am truly grateful.
