Finding help if you’re affected by BBC drama, “Best Interests”
Over the next two weeks, BBC drama “Best Interests” will portray a family driven apart over whether to stop care for their seriously ill daughter. This is likely to be a hard and emotional watch, particularly for those families whose child has died, has been diagnosed with a life-shortening condition or who is receiving palliative care.
If your family is being supported by Forget Me Not, please do not hesitate in speaking to one of our team if you’re struggling as a result of watching or hearing about this programme. We are here for you whenever and however you need us.
If you live in West Yorkshire and are caring for a child with a life-shortening condition and you’re looking for additional help and support, you can find out more about our services and how to refer yourself here.
Together for Short Lives has also put together a resource pack for anyone affected by the issues raised in the drama which you can download here. There are lots of helpful links in it for professionals involved in children’s care too.
