Forget Me Not receives prestigious Families and Communities Award

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is incredibly proud to have been awarded the Family and Community Service Award from the Rotary Club of Halifax in recognition of outstanding service to Families and Communities.

The Rotary Club has been serving local communities since 1905 and is now the largest, and oldest, voluntary service organisation in the world. From public health and peace studies, to children’s days out and cinema trips for the elderly, The Rotary Club is at the heart of every local community.

Ian Firth, of Halifax Rotary Club, comments “Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is an organisation that serves the local community and is one that the Halifax Rotary Club is proud to be associated with and to support. Their work in providing comfort, support and practical help to families at a time when they need it most, is an act that is close to motto of ‘Service Above Self’.

We have supported Forget Me Not for over four 4 years now, organising and hosting Christmas Carol Concerts at Halifax Minster to raise money for Forget Me not and Overgate Hospice. So far we have raised somewhere in the region of £25,000, with audience numbers increasing each year at the event.”
