Love was all around at Valentine’s Ball, raising an outstanding £46,500!

Actors from the cast of ITV’s Emmerdale, performing in the band Main Street, were a star attraction on the night which also featured entertainment from opera singer, Victor Michael, a gospel choir, and a saxophonist and was hosted by Chris Chittell who plays Eric Pollard in the soap. Guests were invited to bid on some amazing prizes in a raffle, auction and silent auction, including a Fope diamond bracelet, Grand Prix tickets, a wing walk and a tour of Emmerdale.

The event, held in The Venue in Barkisland, was organised by sisters Kate and Georgina Macauley from Timeout Children’s Homes in Ripponden. Kate said: “My sister and I are completely overwhelmed by the success of the Valentine’s Ball. We couldn’t have achieved the amazing amount raised without the support and generosity of our friends and local businesses. We are just thankful to everyone that attended, donated and contributed to its success. It really was an evening of love and surprises!”

Huge thanks to the organisers and everyone who supported them to make this such a great night – and of course to everyone who came along and who were incredibly generous in aid of such a worthy cause!
