Mayor to cut the ribbon on our new donation centre!
We’re so excited to finally be opening our donation centre, aimed at making it easier for people in Huddersfield to donate their unwanted but good quality stuff to Forget Me Not. More than a warehouse, our donation centre will become a critical part of our trading operation, ensuring that our shops receive a steady supply of stock to sell so they can raise vital funds for our charity. But we can’t do that without people donating their unwanted stuff to us in the first place.
We couldn’t be happier with the location of the donation centre, with easy access from Huddersfield town centre and parking just outside. We hope that by making it really convenient to drop off bags of clothes, toys, homeware and accessories as well as bigger goods, people will think of us the next time they’re having a clear out. And of course, the easier it is to donate the things you don’t want, the less stuff ends up in landfill – so it’s greener too!
And every bag of good quality stuff donated really makes a difference – worth, on average, about £20 of stock to sell in our shops. Plus, if you gift aid those donations – which is really easy to do when you come to the donation centre – they’ll be worth 25% more, at no extra cost to you. All of which helps us continue to be here for the local children and families who desperately need our help across West Yorkshire.
We’d love you to join us for the grand opening on 6th November from 10am with your donations – and the first 20 to arrive will receive a goody bag!
The donation centre is located at Unit 12, Leeds Road mini park, Huddersfield HD1 6PA and its opening times are:
- Monday 8am-4pm
- Thursday 11am-7pm
- Friday 11am-7pm
- Sunday 10am-4pm
