Our shops are open again!
After having to close our 13 shops for most of the last year due to the Covid pandemic, we’re delighted and hugely relieved that they will reopen from 12th April.
But without significant support from the local community, we will struggle to recoup the £1 million loss in shop sales we’ve suffered as a result of the lockdowns.
Our trading manager, Andrea Kay, said: “It’s such a relief to finally be able to reopen our shops on 12th April. Being closed for so long has had a huge impact on sales which, of course, has a knock-on effect on the income our shops can generate for the charity – income that is vital in helping us support local children with life-shortening conditions, their families and families living with loss.
But just having our shops open isn’t enough. If we’re to even get near recouping the £1 million loss in shop sales caused by a year of lockdowns, we’re going to need everyone in the community to help us.
Whether you’re a long-term loyal customer or it’s your first time in a Forget Me Not store, please come and shop with us. You’ll find great quality clothes, homeware, toys, books and furniture – all at incredibly low prices. Rest assured too that we’re taken all the necessary steps to ensure our shops are Covid-safe for customers, staff and volunteers.
All the profits from our sales help us provide vital clinical and respite care, fun activities, counselling and bereavement support – so shopping with us is a really easy way to make a huge difference to local children and families.
We look forward to seeing you in our shops from 12th April!”
