“The open day changed our whole perspective of a children’s hospice!”

When people visit Russell House, they’re often surprised at what they discover. Where they might have imagined somewhere sad, gloomy or even scary, they find a real home-from-home, a place of comfort and support, even laughter and joy. 

This realisation can change lives. We met one family last April who, unable to face using a children’s hospice, had struggled on alone for over 10 years. But their experience at the open day changed their perspective and gave them the confidence to ask for help. They’re now receiving the care and support they and their child have needed for so long. 

But you don’t have to be a family in need to come along. Whether you’ve been a supporter of Forget Me Not for years, have only recently heard of us or are interested in volunteering or working with us, this is a great opportunity to find out what we’re really all about.

Our two open days are on: 

  • Wednesday 4th October 10am to 4pm for businesses, schools and groups. Please contact fundraising@forgetmenotchild.co.uk to arrange your visit and guided tour. 

  • Saturday 7th October is open to all. Please drop in at any time between 10am and 2pm.
