Young NCS group go the extra mile for Forget Me Not in their charity fashion show, raising £1,825
A group from the National Citizen Service (NCS) wowed the public on Thursday night with their “charity shop fashion show”! Over a 7 day period, the group of 15 and 16 year old students worked hard getting sponsorship, raising money and promoting and preparing for the fashion show.
The show, held at the Jubilee Centre in Huddersfield, was a chance to demonstrate just how fashionable charity shop clothes can be. The models showcased different looks including casual, smart, party, holiday and even “weird & wonderful”! After the show, there was a chance for guests to buy clothes picked out from our charity shops in the “pop up” shop.
Along with sales from tickets and the “pop up” shop, money was also raised from a raffle and refreshment sales. Altogether, the group raised a staggering £1,825 for FMN! Well done team!
