As Volunteer Ambassador, you’ll use your communication and interpersonal skills to represent Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice within the South Asian community and other ethnic minority communities who might not be familiar with our work.
You’ll support our Community Engagement Officer in engaging with local mosques and reaching communities that are traditionally male dominant - encouraging others to get involved in fundraising events, making announcements at various mosques and prayer times and making collections during Ramadan.
With good presentation skills - you’ll have the ability to source opportunities in your own community and through your own networks.
We would particularly welcome applications from males with an Asian background; over half of the families we support are from an ethnic minority background and the relationships you’ll help us build will help us support these families more effectively now and into the future.
