There will be a variety of volunteer roles available, including Shop Assistants, eBay Assistants, Upcyclers and Drivers. Coin Collecting Tub Volunteers
Helping members of our Fundraising Team to place and empty coin collecting tubs in local shops and businesses. This role would suit a volunteer who could give their time on an ad-hoc basis. Click here to find out more
We are always looking for volunteers to help out at fundraising events throughout the year, from helping out at our Colour Run to supporting fundraising activities throughout the West Yorkshire area. Click here to find out more
You will attend meetings of community groups to talk about the work of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and/or to receive donations on our behalf. These groups may include Rotary Clubs, W.I.’s and school assemblies. Talks may be in the daytime or during the evening. Click here to find out more
Volunteer Cover Receptionist
You will cover the reception role during the absence of a member of our regularvolunteer reception team. This is a key role within the Hospice. You will be the first point of contact for children and families who visit Russell House as well as for supporters, contractors and visiting care professionals. You will help us to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining our expected level of security and confidentiality. Click here to find out more.
Fundraising Support Volunteer
Working with the Fundraising Administrator, you will provide internal administrative support to the Community and Corporate Fundraisers. Click here to find out more
As part of our shop team, your duties will include sorting and preparing donated stock for sale, serving customers and helping to keep the shop clean and tidy. Our shops are located in Almondbury , Brighouse, Golcar, Hebden Bridge, Heckmondwike, Holmfirth, King Cross and Lindley. Click here to find out more

Food Preparation Volunteers*
Working with our chef at busy times as well as preparing snacks and drinks for in-house events. Click here to find out more
Family Support Volunteers*
Can you make a regular, weekly, long-term commitment to help to care for a child and family on our case load? We support families across Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield and the surrounding areas. Care visits are usually during an evening or weekend and typically last for two to four hours. Family Support Volunteers need to be able to drive and have use of a vehicle; travel expenses can be reclaimed. Click here to find out more

Volunteer opportunities marked * are subject to a satisfactory D.B.S. check and are available to over 18s only. Retail and events volunteers must be over 14 years old.
