Ready to see Helvellyn in a whole new light? Join us for a night trek to the summit—crisp air and star-filled skies over the Lake District. An unforgettable experience awaits.
Dates: Saturday 10th October
Where: Swirls Car Park, CA12 4TW (main Helvellyn car park on the Thirlmere side)
Entry fee: £35 per adult, £10 per child
Minimum age: 10
Sponsorship aim: £400 per person
What happens next?
Once registered you will be sent an email with joining instructions with further information, a kit list and timings for the day.
What about sponsorship?
We’re asking all our adult participants to raise £400. When you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to our sponsorship form.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing. Most importantly, make sure you have some sensible footwear. We will send you a Forget Me Not t-shirt closer to the event. You will receive full advice on what equipment you need from our third party provider.
Who is your Stalight Trek provider?
We work with OverLimits, previously known as Kuta Outdoors. We have ran events with this company for several years, they use trained mountain leaders and experienced volunteers to support everyone on their treks.

Why should I do the trek with a provider when I could go and do it myself?
There are many benefits to booking and doing the trek with our provider.

- Being part of a larger team of people doing the trek together
- Training advice available
- Join them for training treks free of charge when registered with a charity place
- Several years of experience and mountain leaders on their team
- Health and safety measures with first aiders and check points along the route
What happens on the day?
Once you are registered you will receive full information with timings, what to expect, and everything you need. In the meantime below is a brief overview of what to expect.
Arrive at 4.45pm for the safety briefing, setting off on the trek by 5pm. The trek is usually completed within 5 hours and your finish time will depend on your group’s fitness level, weather and any incidents or first aid administered.
OverLimits will support all participants along the route and first aid administered if required by their team.
