Hey Little Cupcake invited a group of children from across Manchester to visit the shop and café in Spinningfields to design a cupcake just for us.
As you might know if you saw our recent appearance on Channel 4’s Extreme Cake Makers, we’re partial to some sweet treats here at Forget Me Not. So, we’re excited to announce that we have our very own cake currently being sold in Manchester.
Hey Little Cupcake invited a group of children from across Manchester to visit the shop and café in Spinningfields to design a cupcake just for us.
The children met on 1 June – the date that many countries around the world celebrate Children’s Day – and got creative with different icing and decorations.
Now, the team at Hey Little Cupcake have recreated one of the designs and will be selling the Forget Me Not cupcake throughout June. A pound from each cake sold will go towards our new children’s hospice, Grace’s Place.
Sarah Wilson-Gibbons, director of Hey Little Cupcake, said: “When we heard about the brilliant work Forget Me Not does we wanted to help raise money for the new children’s hospice. Inviting young families from across Manchester to come and design the cupcake that we’ll sell during June for the charity was a great way to involve local children in this fundraising campaign, especially on Children’s Day. We hope more families can come to see us in our Spinningfields shop over the coming weeks to show their support for Forget Me Not.”
