Paint the pavements purple all over Huddersfield!

Event update

In light of the outbreak of coronavirus and the government’s advice about social distancing, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel our Forget Me Not Walk event on 4th April. 

We are incredibly saddened to have had to make this decision and really sorry to have to disappoint everyone who has signed up to take part. But our first priority is to protect our supporters, volunteers and staff and so we think it best not to run it this year. It will be back in 2021! 

As you can imagine, this, and changes to other events that support Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is having a huge impact on their ability to raise the funds needed to provide vital support to local children and families. This comes when those families need that support more than ever. 

However there are still ways you can help. Instead of a refund, you could donate your ticket price to Forget Me Not. You could even do your own 10 mile walk – whether that was around Huddersfield or up and down your garden! Any sponsorship you raise would really help us continue to be here for families, supporting them through these anxious and challenging times. 

If you’ve already raised some sponsorship through JustGiving or other online fundraising platforms – thank you. This will come to us automatically and is already making a huge difference.

We’re taking to the streets this April on a sponsored walk around Huddersfield – and colouring it purple as we go (not literally; everyone will be sporting something purple, like a Forget Me Not t-shirt!). If walking’s your thing, this is a great way to stretch your legs and raise awareness of our children’s hospice in the local community at the same time! Step this way!
